Get into the great outdoors at Blanco.
If bowls is your game, there's a full size championship rink with Florida grass.
Golfers can practice their chipping and test their skills on our challenging golf course.
Three all-weather tennis courts are available and a squash court with a wooden sprung floor.
There is also a sauna, a large swimming pool and a trampoline and a volley ball court.
We have now added lovely 4 by 4 trails and mountain bike trails through the beautiful mountains that surround Blanco

Blanco horses are suitable for adults and children. Rides are at set times and are accompanied by a member of our staff. Early morning pony rides are always a favourite with the children.
Cows are milked daily and children are welcome to participate. There is also a rabbit enclosure where bunnies are always ready to nibble on that hand-delivered extra piece of greenery.
Animals are very much a part of the farm life, and to witness first hand the birth of a lamb or calf can be an unforgettable experience.

Blanco is a nature-lover's delight with its own private game reserve. Guests can walk or ride through the park and look out for the different species of game, including zebra, springbok, impala, blesbok and black wildebeest.
Birdwatchers will also be kept very busy with over 160 recorded species.
For those who like to walk, there are many ways to go - not too far from home. The more adventurous hikers can find different routes and challenges to take up all around the farm and on the mountains.
And then finally, for those with aching muscles from the abundance of activities, there is the Blanco Salon where guests can have their pains and troubles expertly massaged away.

What a way to spend a holiday!!

  Thrift Dam
Thrift is the most easterly and largest of the new trout fisheries. It lies at an altitude od 1700 metres on the uppermost reaches of the Black-Kei River and covers approximately 160 hectares when full. The dam has been stocked with selected mixed-sex, all-female and triploid fry and fingerlings. At present rainbow trout are averaging better than 2 kilograms.

Tsolwana Game Reserve
Tsolwana is 8 500ha in size, nestled on the edge of the Winterberg range. This marks the start of the Karoo plains and provides a unique range of habitats. The reserve offers some of the best game-viewing opportunities in the Eastern Cape. It is named after the Xhosa word "spike", characterized by a prominent hill in the reserve.

The Prickly Pear This is a delightful little local farm shop where you can find lovely things for gifts and souvenirs, contemporary clothes, fancy goods, herbal things, pictures etc. - something for everyone's taste.

Blanco and children go together! Little ones are welcomed as special guests and everything possible is done to cater to their every need. Many a child with fond holiday memories has returned years later with a new generation of children to explore once again the charm of Blanco.

Parents can relax and enjoy their meals while the children get together in a separate children's dining room.

There is total peace of mind for all as nannies can be hired on a daily basis to care for younger children.

The timeless Blanco Tractor Cart takes a trip every afternoon in season, with all the children and the nannies aboard - giving parents a quiet and well-deserved break.

We now also have the Blanco Kids Entertainment Club. Kiddies are thoroughly entertained here throughout the course of the morning. They do arts and crafts, play in a band and generally have loads of fun with the various goodies we have for them to play with.
